i am not a weaver - but i feel like i deserve this pain

A process processing project in which emotions and lived memories are felt physically. Due to the physical discomfort that can be experienced while weaving, a connection between internal and an outside source was explored. This work was only given attention when healing was happening - therefore it is constant. Work was also enlightened by windows, blackholes, helium,  "a contemporary concert dance work for four inter-generational performers, windows, black holes, helium reveals layers of  physical imagery born out of real lives and intimate scars, at times handing its audience the jarringly contrasting realities  of one’s inner landscape and outer functioning, post-trauma"  (Buntan 2023).  A contemporary dance work in which contrasting realities of one's inner landscape and outer function, post-trauma were explored through "hours of focus group and individual interview data on trauma embodiment were collected in the process.  Currently under analysis, this data will be discussed with the audience through brief post-performance panel involving the dancers and research team," in which I participated in and observed.
